Field Engagements with Community and CP (FE-III)

Course Details

Semester-III, Paper-II (BD103002F). Syllabus for the Batch from Year 2025 to Year 2027. Duration: 3 weeks.

Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, the Pupil teachers will be able to participate effectively in local community service, devise contextually suitable engagement activities, develop insights and field realities on Indigenous models, construct teaching learning material using waste material, promote and discover latent talents in traditional occupations, and explore and prepare models of art and craft for entrepreneurship for self-reliance.

Activities during the Field Engagement Programme

1. 11. Theoretical orientation to the concept of Nai Taleem (10 Marks)Propagated by Mahatma Gandhi with special reference to: a) Concept and Historical background of Nai Taleem, b) Features of Nai Taleem, c) Contemporary relevance of Nai Taleem, d) NEP 2020 policy perspective on the concept of Nai Taleem. Pupil teachers will write a critical review on the concept of Nai Taleem and its relevance in the 21st century.
2. 22. Work Education Component of Nai Taleem (20 Marks)Perform all the following activities and prepare a portfolio for the same: a) Gardening Activities: The pupil teacher will prepare their small kitchen gardens in the institution and will grow one seasonal vegetable there. b) Prepare one Teaching Learning material (TLM)/Science kit etc. by using waste material such as used bottles/glassware/clothes/papers. c) Create one sample work of weaving/spinning/knitting/pottery/embroidery/paper craft/clay modeling, etc.
