Dhamaka
Why visit: Uncompromising, explosive regional Indian cooking that feels entirely distinct from standard American-Indian menus. Vibrant, loud, and utterly delicious. Timing & Budget: Reservations are essential weeks in advance or try your luck at the bar early. Budget $40 to $70 per person.
Domino Park
Why visit: A brilliant industrial-chic waterfront park in Williamsburg integrating old sugar factory machinery with elevated walkways and river breezes. Perfect for sunset dates. Timing & Budget: Free. Best visited right before dusk.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Why visit: An endless treasure trove of human creativity spanning thousands of years. You could visit fifty times and still find new wings. Timing & Budget: Check current ticket policies online; allow at least 3 hours.
Prospect Park
Why visit: Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux's masterpiece in Brooklyn. It feels wilder and more pastoral than Central Park, especially around the Long Meadow. Timing & Budget: Free. Open daily from dawn until dusk.
Final Tip
