Introducing AI-Assisted Learning in Government Schools in Punjab, Pakistan

Project Overview

Supporting teachers and students through responsible use of Artificial Intelligence. A proposed six-month pilot in one government school in Punjab, focusing on Grades 6–10.

The Problem

Teachers and students may face challenges due to limited teaching resources, different learning needs, and limited access to educational technology.

Proposed Solution

Use existing AI tools through a shared teacher-controlled computer or laptop connected to a projector. Teachers can prepare simplified explanations, visual learning materials, quizzes, interactive activities, and Urdu-English explanations.

Responsible AI Use

Teachers will review AI-generated content against textbooks and curriculum. AI will support teachers, not replace them. Protect student privacy and do not enter identifiable student information into public AI tools.

Implementation Timeline

  1. 1Month 1Permissions and needs assessment.
  2. 2Month 2Equipment preparation and teacher training.
  3. 3Months 3–5Classroom activities and monitoring.
  4. 4Month 6Evaluation.

Monitoring and Evaluation

Track teacher training, classroom activities, student participation, and understanding through selected topic-based assessments.

Challenges and Safeguards

Address limited technology, internet access, AI inaccuracies, and student privacy.
