My Case study

1. 1Automating harness design-to-manufacturing: 30% faster design and validation cyclesThe challenge Harness engineers were re-creating the same wiring data at every stage: schematics, 3D routing, and then manufacturing drawings. This was slow and error-prone, and it stretched design and validation cycles across global truck programs with few thousands of harness variants.
2. 2The approachOur team built an automated data flow across the toolchain: Wiring data moves from the schematics in Capital Logic into the 3D harness routing environment in Siemens NX, with no manual re-entry. Schematic and 3D harness data then transfer from NX into Capital Harness XC. Capital Harness XC generates the manufacturing drawings automatically.
3. 3My roleI contributed to the 2D data transfer from Capital Logic to Siemens NX and to improving the drawing quality and aesthetics in Capital Harness XC. As the functional lead, I coordinated with the IT teams, ran proofs of concept and pilot projects, and presented results to leadership at regular intervals. I then took the solution into the production environment and trained new users on the automation.
4. 4The result30% reduction in design and validation cycle time. Manual effort on manufacturing drawings largely eliminated, saving approximately 8 hours per chassis harness drawing.
