Overview

Afri-Pod is a proposed private airport rest and work pod designed to improve the experience of passengers who have extended waiting periods, long layovers or other reasons to spend considerable time within airport terminals. The concept provides travellers with a private space where they can rest, work and access selected comfort facilities while waiting for their flights.

Enhanced Product Concept

The proposed Afri-Pod design incorporates a convertible bed and working seat, an integrated massage function (subject to engineering and safety assessment), secure luggage storage, passenger charging, lighting and ventilation, and a separate shared shower facility as a proposed complementary facility for passengers.
