L.H. Udayanga Harsha De Silva

I am L.H. Udayanga Harsha De Silva, a Sri Lankan entrepreneur and craftsman based in Kandy, Sri Lanka. I am passionate about traditional arts, cultural heritage, creativity and preserving the unique craftsmanship of my country. Since 2012, I have dedicated myself to developing authentic Sri Lankan handicrafts through my business, Oshin Handicraft. My work combines traditional artistic inspiration with creative designs to introduce the beauty of Sri Lankan culture to local and international markets. I am a National Crafts Council Craftsman Identity Card holder, committed to maintaining the value of traditional craftsmanship and supporting the recognition of Sri Lankan handmade products. My professional journey also includes 15 years of international experience working aboard cruise ships in the United States (2009–2024), as well as hotel management experience in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Through my business and professional experience, my vision is to connect Sri Lankan cultural heritage with the world, create opportunities for local craftsmanship, and build meaningful relationships with international customers and business partners.
