Read Text 1 and answer questions 1–10. Text 1: The Price of Integrity In a small village near Eldoret lived a young boy named Kiptoo. His parents were farmers who struggled to provide for their family. Despite their financial difficulties, they insisted that their children should value education and honesty. One morning, while walking to school, Kiptoo noticed a brown envelope lying beside the road. He picked it up and discovered that it contained KSh 25,000 and several important documents. For a moment, he considered keeping the money because his family desperately needed it. However, he remembered his father's words: "A person's character is measured not by what they possess, but by what they do when nobody is watching." He examined the documents and found the owner's telephone number. He immediately contacted the owner, who arrived shortly afterwards. The owner was an elderly businessman who had withdrawn the money to pay his workers. Overwhelmed with gratitude, the businessman offered Kiptoo a reward. Kiptoo politely declined, explaining that returning the money was simply the right thing to do. The incident attracted the attention of the local community. The village chief invited Kiptoo to a public gathering where he was praised for his honesty. His actions reminded everyone that integrity is more valuable than material possessions.
